In the following post, we’ll tell you about our expansion throughout the Iberian Peninsula. It’s an exciting expansion that’s bringing excellent results.
Beyond Spanish territory
The growth of La Mafia se sienta a la mesa is completely noticeable. We are present in Galicia, Andalusia, Valencia, Catalonia, Extremadura, Basque Country, Castilla La Mancha, Castilla y León, Madrid, the Canary Islands, Navarra, Asturias, and of course, Aragon, with our locations in Zaragoza.
So, our restaurants are located not only throughout the Iberian Peninsula but also on the islands with ‘Las Mafias’ in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
But the Iberian Peninsula is occupied by more countries than just Spain… We’ll tell you below what our particular ‘Iberian internationalization’ consists of.
La Mafia also sounds like fado: a clear commitment for the 2022-2023 season
It’s no news that La Mafia started its new phase in Portugal. We told you about it in our 2022 summary, where we mentioned our new openings in Lisbon.
There are two different franchises located in the Portuguese capital that are undoubtedly a great success.
The first one to open was our Italian restaurant located in Parque das Naçoes, at 107 Rua do Bajador, in the past month of April. This location has a capacity for 250 people and a terrace for eighty. Additionally, it has private rooms: the Pranzo room (up to 12 people), the Vitelli room (up to 12 people), and a very special private area with views of the Tagus River (up to 60 people).
Whether it’s for groups of friends, company dinners, or family celebrations, at La Mafia Lisboa Parque das Naçoes, you’ll find the perfect space for you and your loved ones.
And just 3 months later, in July 2022, we opened our second location in Lisbon. This time on Avenida Duque de Ávila, 66B: La Mafia Lisboa Avenidas Novas.
This location has 340 square meters and a capacity of up to 250 people. Like the other restaurant, it has an indoor capacity of up to 180 people as well as a terrace for 70 diners. In this Mafia, we also find private rooms, perfect for special occasions: the Pranzo room (up to 20 people), the Vitelli room (up to 12 people), and the Imperial room (up to 8 people).
But it’s not just the Lisbon openings that are making headlines. We’ll also continue to open new restaurants in Portugal in 2023.
Therefore, even though we’re still in the process of searching for locations, two new openings are planned for the second half of the year, starting from summer.
A new country: Andorra joins the famiglia this April
Indeed, the brand is taking another step forward, and at the end of April, we’ll be opening a very special location. La Mafia is crossing borders once again, this time in the Principality. Specifically, in its capital, Andorra La Vella.
So, in just three months, we will be opening our new franchise in one of the iconic places of the capital: the Clot Démprivat Escaldes-Engordany tower. This new location is situated on the Paseo de l’Arnaldeta de Caboet and will have a capacity of up to 126 diners: 62 on the ground floor and 64 on the upper floor.
Additionally, this new restaurant in Andorra will have a private room for a dozen people and a terrace.
As you can see, it’s going to be a very exciting year for us as we continue to expand internationally. For now, La Mafia se sienta a la mesa will stay on the peninsula, but who knows where we’ll go next?
